We went to 2 dealerships before coming into Ron Tonkin Honda. Ron Tonkin was the only environment that made us feel comfortable, and they even offered us beverages! Huge props to Bao who immediately called us when shipment came in!! Cheng came in on his day off, and was so helpful in the buying process. His background knowledge in Toyota really helped us weigh out the differences between the cars we wanted. He laid out every step, answered all our enticing questions with grace. We were on at least 3 other waiting lists. Super excited to be driving our new hybrid! Thank you to Bao, Cheng, Jefferey, and all others involved in this process- It truly was a team effort!! My toddler loves her new car!
Some places in the area "believe in nice" but maybe there's more to sales? Perhaps "genuine" and "truthful" and "customer service" are words we should hear more of. We had accidentally received a mailer intended for a former resident advertising a special for an oil change, and when we started talking about car shopping again, we thought why not start at Ron Tonkin. Serena was a breath of fresh air, from the moment we met until I returned a few days later with a thank you box of crackers, I regret absolutely nothing about our choice to do business at Ron Tonkin Honda. We were open about our prior negative experiences elsewhere, she could relate, and we established an amazing repoire. We came in with two cars (Honda Fit and Cadillac ATS), downsizing to one and looking for an upgrade while we were at it. Honda delivered beautifully. We are so incredibly pleased with our 2022 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. Have an appointment for a protective product service and will be returning to the service department for our regular maintenance as well. Love being your customers! Keep it up!
Marco Sanchez was an Incredibly friendly, professional, and understanding sales consultant. Not only did he answer all my questions, but he was refreshingly transparent with the car buying process. He got me a wonderful deal on the model I wanted, and made it happen despite my first choice not being feasible to my budget. If you want a car, and want it to be a painless, wonderful experience, ask for Marco Sanchez.
Overall, my experience at Ron Tonkin Honda was positive. However, the experience with the salesman that worked with me, John Hill, was anything but. When I called to inquire about the car, he was very helpful and friendly. However, when I showed up, his demeanor completely changed. It bears mentioning that I am a queer person, and I came in with my queer mom and her wife. When he saw us, John immediately became closed off, reluctant, and bordering on disrespectful. The entire experience was slowed down and made more painful because John was very obviously reluctant to help us, and it was like pulling teeth to even get my credit run, let alone get to a place where I felt good buying the car. The only time he became more friendly, helpful, and open, was when my brother joined us, and then John addressed most of his responses and conversation towards him. We ended up leaving the dealership because John wouldn’t consider the deal that we asked for, or even try to meet in the middle. On our way out, another salesman approached us. Once we asked him for the same deal, he was able to make it happen with no problem, which is the sole reason we came back. When I decided to purchase the car, Tait Hanson was the financial specialist who helped me finalize the deal, and he was a welcome change from John. Tait was friendly, very helpful, and very thorough in his explanations. That final part of the dealership experience went quickly and smoothly, and I finally felt comfortable and respected. If you are a woman or a queer person, I would advise steering clear of John Hill. I am deeply disappointed in my experience, and it could have been easily remedied if John had put his personal morals and beliefs on hold to do his job.
Jonathan was very helpful!!! This was my first car buying experience and he guided through the process and warranties and made sure I found the absolute best deal. He went to the other Ron Tonkin dealership twice to get the best deal for me. I would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a new or used car
Highly recommend Ron Tonkin Honda! I was coming from 4 hours away to look at an HR-V so I was nervous about the experience I would have if I decided to buy it. Since I wouldn't be around the corner if anything went wrong. But could not believe how smooth things went. Dave met us at the front door and took care of us every step of the way. He was not pushy at all and gave us all the time we needed. Really appreciated his calm and patient demeanor. Evan took care of the loan (at .99%!) He did awesome too. Dave and Evan were both really genuine, not "salesy" at all. Buying a car is never easy and not the funnest but they made it as seamless and pleasant as possible. I will definitely be a return customer in the future. Thanks guys!
We were greeted promptly by AC Chung. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made an effort to get answers to our questions if he did not know them. The whole buying process went smoothly and pretty quick. Only negative aspect was lack of new inventory available but that was the case with other dealerships we looked at.
